Zondoma: The population of Boussou carried out a sanitation operation in public services on Saturday, September 20, 2025, under the auspices of citizen monitoring.

According to Burkina Information Agency, while residents in Gourcy were busy rehabilitating a road, Marcelin Balma and his team mobilized the population of Boussou for a sanitation day. The targeted locations for this activity included the prefecture, the town hall, and the primary education inspectorate.

Marcelin Balma, the President of the municipal citizen monitoring coordination of Boussou, stated that the operation, organized on the eve of the school year, aimed to clean these busy locations and improve the appearance of the commune’s capital, which has been affected by the security crisis.

Balma expressed gratitude to the population for their participation in the civic activity. Prior to this, the municipal coordination had filled potholes on the main road connecting Boussou to Gourcy. A participant added that such efforts are ways to support the state in nation-building.

Organizers indicated that other public services would be cleaned in the coming days. The city of Boussou has remained resilient despite various challenges since the onset of the security crisis.
