Dakar: “The government’s decisions are primarily aimed at the well-being of the people of Burkina Faso,” assures the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo affirmed Tuesday that all the decisions taken by his government of rupture have as their main objective ensuring the well-being of Burkinabe, whether they live in cities, the countryside or abroad.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, has clearly stated that the people are the compass of Burkina Faso’s progress. This statement underscores that all governmental decisions are primarily intended to ensure the happiness of the Burkinabe, regardless of their location, whether in the countryside or the cities.
Prime Minister Ouedraogo made these remarks on Tuesday evening at the Burkina Faso embassy in Dakar, during a meeting with several compatriots living in Senegal. He highlighted the significant changes in national governance, which he attributed to the audacity and courage of the President of Faso.
The Prime Minister explained that they are actively working to dismantle all obstacles hindering the country’s progress. He articulated a vision where national resources are exploited solely for the benefit of the Burkinabe people, rejecting the notion of being mere workers for others’ benefit.
Furthermore, Mr. Ouedraogo described the ongoing process as a “fight for survival” against those who have historically profited from the exploitation of Burkina Faso and Africa. He conveyed to the diaspora that while revolution is challenging, it represents a path of dignity and sovereignty.
Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo’s visit to Dakar was part of the second edition of the Invest in Senegal Forum, held on October 7 and 8, 2025.
