Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, presided over the traditional raising of the colors this first Monday of October as part of the activities of the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, following the flag-raising ceremony, President Traore delivered a poignant message emphasizing three key points. He urged all stakeholders in public procurement and those requesting audiences in institutions to steer clear of corruption. “We are in a revolution and everyone must understand that to get a contract, all you have to do is comply and work properly. There is no question of paying 5 francs to anyone to get a contract,” he asserted. The President also highlighted that the protocol services and the councilors’ office are the appropriate channels for processing audience requests.

On the topic of supporting Faso Mebo, Captain Traore announced that the Faso Arzeka platform, located at the Public Treasury, is now accepting cash contributions from both local and international supporters of Burkina Faso. He explained that a system was set up to allow contributions to be made to each region through the Treasury, enabling people to support their regions regardless of their location.

In the realm of communication, the President commended the African Universities of Communication of Ouagadougou (UACO) for their commendable performance. He acknowledged the efforts of the “BIR-C” and “Wayiyans” in countering the misinformation spread by imperialist media. Captain Traore called on Africans to withdraw their investments and subscriptions from these media outlets, urging state-owned companies and ministries to terminate their financial engagements with them.
