Sahel: The Node Nooto Association (A2N) handed over 300 school kits to the Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNF) of the Sahel for the benefit of schoolchildren in the Yagha province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the distribution, which took place on Friday, October 3, 2025, aimed to support education in the Sahel region and particularly in Yagha.
Three hundred school kits, each consisting of notebooks, pens, erasers, rulers, and slates, were distributed by A2N to aid students in their educational pursuits. The gesture was described by Mr. Maiga of A2N as a contribution to help the children continue their education amidst challenging circumstances. He emphasized the importance of diligence and perseverance for the success of the schoolchildren.
Elhadji Boubacar, the Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education in the Sahel, expressed gratitude towards A2N for their support. He highlighted that the donation was a response to a request from the management and offered relief to schoolchildren in an area lacking school supply stores. He assured that the supplies would be utilized effectively to enhance educational access.
Mr. Boubacar also called on other partners to emulate A2N’s initiative in maintaining educational continuity throughout the Sahel region. He acknowledged the donation as a reinforcement of the government’s efforts in improving access to education.
The provision of these 300 school kits signifies more than a donation; it reflects the commitment of civil society to assist students facing adversity in Yagha. A2N’s actions underscore its role as a dedicated supporter of education, offering much-needed relief to families and motivation to continue educational efforts despite the region’s security challenges.
