Seno: The inhabitants of the town of Dori gave a triumphant welcome on Tuesday afternoon to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), returning from a mission to supply the populations of the province of Yagha, capital, Sebba. The convoy, made up of military vehicles, civilians, and motorcyclists, traveled nearly 100 kilometers between Sebba and Dori, on a route known to be difficult due to the security situation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the arrival of the convoy in Dori around 6 p.m. aroused strong emotion, reflecting the gratitude of the inhabitants towards these men and women who risk their lives for the good of others. Since the early hours of the day, many residents of Dori, especially those from the Nyarala district, had gathered along the main road to witness this historic moment.

Human hedges formed on both sides of the road, creating an atmosphere of joy, songs, and patriotic slogans such as “Long live IB!”, “Long live the FDS!”, “Long live the AES!” and “Homeland or death, we will win!” The people, visibly moved, distributed water to the fighters as a sign of gratitude and encouragement.

For the inhabitants of Dori, this welcome was not just a simple gesture of gratitude, but an act of national solidarity and moral support for those who defend the homeland. “We are proud of our FDS and VDP. They show courage and deserve all our respect,” said a resident of the Nyarala neighborhood.

This scene, full of emotion, bears witness to the cohesion and determination of the populations of the Sahel to support the forces engaged in securing the territory. By welcoming their heroes back from Sebba, the people of Dori have shown that, in the face of security challenges, solidarity remains the best weapon.

Between recognition, pride, and hope, this event illustrates the resilience of the Sahelian people and their unwavering commitment alongside the fighting forces for the definitive return of peace to Burkina Faso.
