Zoundweogo: The Nazinon Regional Council’s conference room hosted the 5th edition of the scholarship program for underprivileged children and those in difficult life situations on Saturday. Organized by the Tarwend-sida Association, this event brought together administrative, traditional, and religious authorities from the Nazinon region, as well as numerous partners and guests.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 70 vulnerable students received scholarships. In addition, they received school bags and kits, bags of rice, and other material support to improve their living and learning conditions. Among these vulnerable children, 14 each returned home with a bicycle.

In her speech, the President of the Association, Aline Bouda, recalled that her organization has been committed to education for years. She emphasized the importance of education in the growth of youth and the development of the country.

The ceremony’s patron, Jeanne Madeleine Bouda, highlighted the impact of this gesture on the lives of the beneficiaries, encouraging women to support children in their communities. She noted that every child’s smile represents a victory over poverty and exclusion.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Tarwend-sida Association also handed over trash cans to the provincial and municipal high schools of Manga. It also donated five five-liter cans of liquid soap, five hand basins, and a ton of cement to Faso Mebo.
