Mouhoun: The President of the special delegation of Tcheriba, Ouesseni Logora, received the local wrestling team on October 15, 2025, following their success at the first edition of the great meeting of traditional sports held in Dedougou from October 9 to 11, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized by the National Fund for the Promotion of Sports and Leisure and brought together top athletes from traditional sports such as wrestling and archery. The Tcheriba team distinguished itself with a silver medal win, thanks to the exceptional performance of wrestler Bailou Yipeni.

During the reception, Mr. Logora commended the athletes and their coaches for their dedication and efforts, which brought honor to Tcheriba. He expressed pride in their achievement and announced the community’s plans to continue supporting traditional sports in future competitions.
