Bogande: Traders and transporters in Bogande offered food, oil, and mineral water on Monday, October 13, 2025, as a sign of solidarity and encouragement to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). The symbolic presentation of donations was presided over by the president of the Bogande Special Municipal Delegation, Mr. Taugolo Pare, in the presence of the beneficiaries.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the traders, transporters, and economic operators of Bogande have once again shown support for the peace effort. The FDS and the VDPs received support from two primary donors. The first donation, consisting of 60 bags of rice weighing 25 kg each and 5 cans of oil with a capacity of 20 liters each, was allocated to the VDPs. Additionally, 5 bags of rice weighing 50 kg each and 1 can of oil were provided to the Koglweogo of the commune by the traders and transporters of Bogande.
The second donation was made by the promoter of O’Bogande mineral water, who contributed 76 packets of water distributed among the BIR 19, the Central Police Station, and the VDPs. Furthermore, a transporter offered 20,000 CFA francs for the purchase of condiments for the VDPs.
Upon receiving the donations, PDS Taugolo Pare praised the generosity of the donors, whom he recognized as patriots dedicated to peace. He encouraged them to continue supporting the fighting forces through prayers and urged the beneficiaries to manage the food received responsibly. “Thanks to the defense and security forces and the VDP, we are holding on and moving forward. These donations strengthen our common resilience,” he stated.
The beneficiaries also expressed their deep gratitude to the donors. A representative from BIR 19 noted that this gesture assures them they are “not orphans” and can rely on a supportive and grateful community. Similarly, the head of the Koglweogo welcomed the initiative, describing it as “a great opportunity,” and reaffirmed his group’s commitment to ensuring the safety of the people.
