Tuy: High Commissioner Issiaka Segda launched the second phase of the 2025 edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) in Hounde, Tuy province. On this occasion, he conveyed the message of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, urging the active forces to protect public property and combat corruption.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Issiaka Segda emphasized the need for discipline and order during a revolution, highlighting the importance of respecting and maintaining public property. The address, delivered during the launching ceremony of the 2nd phase of JEPPC 2025, underscored the mobilization of vital forces around the national colors at the provincial directorate of Control of public markets and financial commitments of Tuy.
Segda’s speech focused on the notion that public property represents the common wealth of the people, and any willful damage or negligence is seen as a betrayal of the revolution. He stressed that maintaining discipline cannot rely on enforcement alone, urging citizens to adopt a patriotic conscience and responsible behavior.
He also called on citizens to combat corruption and illicit enrichment, encouraging exemplary conduct in various aspects of life, including neighborhoods, services, and administrations. The message aimed to inspire integrity and responsibility among the populace.
Oumar Belem, the provincial director of Public Procurement and Financial Commitments Control of Tuy, expressed his satisfaction in hosting the ceremony. He showcased his structure’s missions and invited authorizing officers and credit managers to seek his office’s support and advice on regulatory matters related to public finance.
The 2nd phase of the 2025 edition of the JEPPC is scheduled to run from October 2 to 16, 2025.
