Hounde: The principal of the Tuy provincial high school, Yirbeen-Hib Some, initiated the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) 2025 activities at the school. The launch took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, marking the beginning of a series of events aimed at fostering civic responsibility among students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the day’s activities commenced with the ceremonial raising of the flags and the reading of a message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. The event, led by Principal Some, attracted the participation of both students and staff. Ousmane Bamogo, the senior education advisor, delivered the President’s message, which served as an inspiration for the principal’s address.

Principal Some used the opportunity to emphasize the importance of discipline, punctuality, and diligence in academics. He highlighted the need for students to protect and maintain school equipment, warning that neglect could lead to significant losses. “We have little equipment here. If we don’t take care of it, we risk losing everything,” he cautioned.

In his speech, Mr. Some reminded students that the destruction of public property hinders national progress. He also encouraged them to reject corruption and adhere to the highway code. As part of the JEPPC’s second phase, activities include awareness-raising sessions on respecting national symbols, combating drug use, and participating in a sanitation day.
