Namentenga/solidarity: The village of Kouboubilin offers 100,000 FCFA to the Guepard unit: A delegation from the village of Kouboubilin, in the province of Namentenga, led by the leader, Sibiri Ousmane Sawadogo, handed over the sum of 100,000 FCFA to the High Commissioner, Adama Conseiga, on Friday, October 10, 2025, for the benefit of the Cheetah unit of Boulsa. The gesture from the said village is to support the Cheetah unit in its efforts to reconquer the national territory.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation’s spokesperson, Sibiri Ousmane Sawadogo, emphasized the importance of unity among Burkinabe citizens, stating, “We are Burkinabe and all the daughters and sons of the country must not remain indifferent to what is happening in Burkina Faso. We are making this modest contribution of 100,000 FCFA to support our fighting forces in light of the difficult situation our country is going through.” Sawadogo expressed hopes that the spiritual support of Namentenga’s ancestors would accompany the Cheetah unit to victory.
Commander Gerard Sindogo of the Cheetah unit appreciated the gesture from Kouboubilin, recognizing it as a sign of the population’s interest in their efforts. “We’re just doing our job,” Sindogo remarked, highlighting the importance of community backing.
High Commissioner Adama Conseiga acknowledged the village’s contribution, linking it to the ongoing 2nd phase of the National Days of Citizen Engagement and Participation (JEPPC), which runs from October 2 to 16, 2025, in Burkina Faso. Conseiga expressed gratitude for the village’s patriotic action.
Sibiri Ousmane Sawadogo also mentioned the village’s history of support, referencing a previous donation of 203,500 FCFA in 2024. Kouboubilin, located 10 km from the commune of Boulsa, continues to play an active role in supporting national efforts.
