Sandbondtenga: Three years after the MPSR 2 came to power, Burkina Faso has made notable progress in several key sectors, but significant challenges remain. On the occasion of this anniversary, the citizens of Sandbondtenga are taking a positive look, welcoming the progress while calling for more targeted actions to improve the daily lives of Burkinabe people.
According to Burkina Information Agency, since the MPSR 2 came to power, there have been several positive changes benefiting the population, spanning sectors from education to agriculture, including security and health. Achievements such as free care for mothers and children, lower prices for pharmaceutical products, and the provision of mobile clinics stand out. Community involvement has been encouraged, with the Faso Mebo initiative being a tangible example. The promotion of patriotism has led to the establishment of factories and local production companies, contributing to the economic and social independence of the country. Efforts in combating incivility, unsanitary conditions, and corruption are noted, though there is a call for these to be strengthened. Challenges such as the abusive consumption of alcohol and narcotics need addressing, alongside better motivation for VDPs committed to territorial integrity.
Alfred Oudraogo highlights efforts for the return of internally displaced persons in various areas. He notes the gradual change observed since the advent of MPSR 2, commending community actions for economic and social development through presidential initiatives. While progress in combating corruption and inefficiency in public administration is recognized, expectations remain for improvements in social cohesion and living conditions amid high costs.
Catherine Oudraogo appreciates the gradual return of internally displaced persons, signaling improved security. Development is evident with the construction of factories, roads, and gutters. The regime’s commitment to genuine development is increasingly recognized, with hopes for President Ibrahim Traor to further support the FDS and VDP in restoring peace.
Sawadogo Issa observes major changes benefiting the Burkinabe people over the past three years. Security improvements have allowed the return of thousands of IDPs, while agriculture has seen investments in tractors, seeds, and fertilizers. The economy has gained momentum with new factories and improved urban transportation through additional buses. Socially, efforts to revive civic-mindedness and patriotism are apparent.
Despite these advancements, challenges persist. The intensification of territorial reconquest operations is crucial for the full return of IDPs. The creation of factories in each regional capital and promoting quality education by moving away from colonial systems are needed. Health sector improvements require modernizing hospitals and recruiting more healthcare personnel.
