With its new partnerships and the sovereign redefinition of its diplomacy, Burkina Faso has been able to acquire the necessary equipment for its armies and its Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and find solutions to its outlets and supplies, said Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem de Tambèla this Tuesday morning before the Transitional Parliament.

“With the new partnerships and the sovereign redefinition of our diplomacy, we were able, without complex, not only to acquire the necessary equipment for our armies and our VDPs, but to find solutions for our outlets and our supplies”, declared this Tuesday morning Prime Minister Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem of Tambèla.

The head of government delivered this Tuesday morning his speech on the situation of the Nation before the Transitional Legislative Assembly. This is an exercise provided for by the Constitution of Burkina Faso, which provides in its article 109 that: “The Prime Minister explains directly to the deputies, the situation of the Nation (…). This presentation is followed by debates and does not give rise to any vote.

Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem de Tambèla affirmed that “from now on, relations between Burkina Faso and its partners are built in a climate of trust and mutual respect. Nothing can be imposed on us”.

In his opinion, “history being made up of vicissitudes, perhaps one day Burkina Faso will again submit to the dictates of some foreign power. But, it will be after us. Not with us”.

He went on to say that “we can be wrong, but we will always act in full sovereignty, in the light of the interests of Burkina Faso”.

Also, he expressed his “recognition (…) to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and to the Iranian President, for their interest in Burkina Faso”.

“I have just returned from Venezuela, where the authorities of the country have given me and my delegation an exceptional welcome, on behalf of the country we represent, and the commitment of its leaders,” he said.

The head of government informed that “new avenues of cooperation, in practically all areas, are opening up to us, for our populations, for our businessmen and women” and invited Burkina Faso to “be up to new challenges
