Terrorist attacks in Burkina: The Nigerien Head of State expresses his support for his counterpart Ibrahim Traoré


Ouagadougou: The Head of State of Niger, General Abdourahamane Tiani expressed yesterday Wednesday his ‘sincere condolences and my deep compassion’ to the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to the government and to the entire Burkinabe people , following the attacks of February 25.

Here is the entire message:

‘Mr President, Dear Brother,

On February 25, 2024, your dear country, Burkina Faso, was mourned by several terrorist attacks. These barbaric attacks, which targeted soldiers as well as VDP and civilians, unfortunately caused loss of life and significant material damage.

In these particularly painful circumstances, I express, on behalf of the National Council for the Protection of the Fatherland, the Government, the Nigerien People and on my own behalf, my sincere condolences and my deep compassion to Your Excellency, to the Government and to the brotherly People of Burkinabè, while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

I would also like to assure you of the total support of the Nigerien
people in this difficult ordeal that the Burkinabè people are experiencing and mark my firm will and my constant availability to do everything possible, in concert with Your Excellency and within the framework of the Alliance of States of the Sahel (AES) in particular, with a view to eradicating the scourge of terrorism in our common space.

Reiterating to you my sincere condolences and my deep compassion, I ask you to accept, Mr. President and Dear Brother, the assurance of my very high and fraternal consideration.
